Ingredients:

Your choice of Pork Chop and amount ( I like to get the bone-in. They have such a better flavor. We usually cook 4 chops for the 6 of us.)

-Lawry's Season Salt

-Salt

-Pepper

-Butter

-Milk

-Flour

These are all the ingredients youll need to cook the chops and make the gravy. You'll find that i cook a lot like my mom and grandma, no recipe's, just memory, so ill do my best to get you the exact amounts you need! LOL

Step 1: Mix the Flour for the Chops

We're going to give the chops a light coating before we pan fry them. This is what will give us the extra flavoring and substance we need for our gravy!

- Mix 1 cup of flour, 1 Tablespoon of Lawry's Season Salt, and salt and pepper to your liking to a bowl. After mixed together, we have our base ready to dip the chops in!

Step 2: Coat the Chops and Put in the Frying Pan

-I like to rinse my chops to get them a little wet to absorb more of the flour mixture. Dip them in the flour, flip over and coat both sides well.

-In a large frying pan, turn to medium-high heat and add a little butter to the pan. If you're a little more health conscious, you can use olive oil. After its melted a bit, throw the coated chops spread out in the pan. (We usually cook 4 in our large pan no problem. This gives us plenty of Pork flavoring to make the gravy).

-You just want to brown each side, so watch close and as soon as both sides are brown, cover and reduce heat to low. You will then simmer for 30-45 minutes. This will allow them to cook slowly all the way through, making them tender, and also forcing them to pump out all their juice for the gravy!

=Tip: Ill add just a little more butter to pan as well as Lawrys Salt to the chops. This only makes the flavoring better!

Step 3: Prepare the Gravy

ree

-After the 30-45 minutes, pop the lid and you will see all the juice ready to make the gravy. And the smell with have you licking your chops! LOL

-I like to pull my chops out and put on a plate and then cover so they stay warm until we're ready with the rest of the meal. The gravy will only take 5 minutes to whip up!

-Add about 1 tablespoon of flour to the gravy juice to soak up some of the extra liquid, this will also just add to the base of the gravy and make it a little thicker. At this point turn your stove up to high stir constantly as the mixture thickens. As soon as most of the moisture is gone, add about 2 cups of milk and stir constantly on medium to high until it thickens to your liking.

-Tip: If you want a thicker gravy, use less milk and add a little more floud. If you want to make more gravy or want it a little thinner, you can always add a little more milk. Just dont pour the whole gallon, we dont want it too runny. During this time I also add a little more of all three seasonings for flavor. You can taste at this point and season to your liking. As soon as the gravy is done, you're done and ready to eat!

Side suggestions: Being from Idaho, we always served this meal with mashed potatoes! The gravy poured over your chop and on top of the potatoes is a delicious masterpiece! You can cook your potatoes easily in the time the chops are simmering.

Thrown a vegetable on the side and dinner is ready! Hope you all enjoy and come back for more easy family recipes that everyone will love!
